One can imagine that a wise, bible-thumping, Southern mom once coined the phrase, “if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.”
With that being said, Kerri Paul was the typical type-A girl, with her path clearly drawn out. After a fun-filled four years, sorority strutting through Southern Miss and shortly after making it official with her high school sweetheart, Kerri embarked upon the fast-paced, travel and leisure lifestyle of married millennials. It was mapped out. Corporate America career, DINKS (double income, no kids), throwing caution to the wind, with not a care in the world. This kinky-curly naturalista was NOT afraid of getting her hair wet. She, a Major Gifts Fundraiser for Southern Miss and her husband Matt, working in Major League Baseball lived life on the fly and out of a suitcase, which according to Kerri’s vision board, was all a part of the plan.
Then, in 2014, one of the couple’s major milestones was checked off the list, building their dream home. Three months later, along came God’s plan for Kerri & Matt… and as on-time as He is, He ordered their steps with a double portion, TWINS!
In January of 2015, the Paul twins, baby boy Jules and baby girl Jeanne were born, and even more unexpectedly came baby number three just a year and a half later, baby girl Joie! God was now ROFL having blessed the couple with the unexpected, three years straight EXPECTING! And out of what appeared to be endless bottles, burp cloths, and breastfeeding came three of the most unexpected miracles, the precious gifts of life and a new direction in finding new paths for their newfound family.
To say that present day life for the Pauls is exciting is grossly understated. As a a mompreneur, Kerri juggles parenting the #3Paulsinapod and working as a Business Consultant, Brand Influencer, and Commercial Model. She consults with top regional brands Gulf Coast Moms Blog and Be Bright Daily and is a Brand Ambassador for Natural Girls Rock along with managing her children’s ambassador positions with classic children’s retailers The Cotton Patch boutique and The Oaks Apparel Company. Kerri & Matt can be spotted on The People’s Bank commercials and print campaigns for Hotel Indigo Gulf Shores, Wind Creek Casino, Community Bank, and Gulf Quest Museum, to name a few. The duo credit much of their success in life and marriage to the ability to work well together as a team. As such, together they are embarking on a venture to bring Brick and Spoon, Alabama’s #1 breakfast restaurant (as voted by Southern Living Magazine) to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, opening early 2019.
Also notable is the fun fact that in 2011 Kerri appeared as a contestant on season 20 of CBS’s The Amazing Race! She and her doppelgänger cousin competed together and coined the phrase “twousins” (twin cousins). #foreshadowingmuch? #Godsplan #lifeasaDrakesong
